Visiting The Isle Of Wight

The Isle Of Wight situated a few miles south of Portsmouth and Southampton is the largest island off the UK coastline and perfect for that relaxing short break or holiday.

The Island hosts some of the most beautiful countryside around. With footpaths meandering all around the Island and covering over 500 miles through areas designated "Areas Of Outstanding Natural Beauty" it's easy to get away from the hustle and bustle. Beaches are plentiful on the Isle Of Wight, some suitable for families with regular beach amenities and other beaches still the way nature intended.

You will also find many of your regular towns with the usual retailers for those who fancy a spot of retail therapy and within minutes of these you can find yourself in quaint and scenic villages; with thatched cottages and great public houses. Eating out on the Isle Of Wight is always a pleasure with quality food and more than ample sized portions; something most Island eateries are renowned for.

During the year there are many famous, even world famous, events going on. These include The Isle Of Wight Festival which is held in June, Skandia Cowes Week - the world famous yachting regata held in early August, and The Garlic Festival also held in August.

Whatever you're looking for in your holiday or shortbreak the Isle Of Wight will please everyone.
